2024 AB Provincial Championships

Big energy, long sessions, and loads of opportunity for growth and improvement, 2024 Alberta Provincial Championships were a hit.

95 Dinos hit the blocks for some stellar racing over the weekend. 19 of those athletes joined the roster after punching their ticket at Provincial Trials in Edmonton the weekend prior, rising to the challenge of swimming fast short course swims and then regrouping just one week later to race again long course.

Swimmers worked to manage fatigue throughout the weekend and prepare diligently for each race. They learned to show up with strong swims in the morning and elevate at night, sometimes swimming their whole event program again while adding the amazing challenge of relays.

The real stars of the weekend were our UCSC officials and volunteers who spent countless hours on the deck making the weekend a success.

Sunday night brought the competition to a close, with Aiden Norman, Laon Kim, Nick Duncan, and Paul Dardis swimming to a 15-17 National Age Group Record in the 4x100m Medley Relay, and all of UCSC going home with the Championship Banner.
