2024 Dino Cup

We had our exciting Dino Cup meet this past weekend. The coaching team is thrilled with all the amazing swimming that took place. We had a lot of best times, great races, and exciting results. The swimmers did a fantastic job! 

The TREX squads had a great turnout at the Dino Cup, some participating for their last time at that meet, as they will age up and move on.  
The Dino Cup has such a rich history and is such a fun meet!  There were many best times (100% in all of the TREX 100 freestyles), and some disqualifications, each one an opportunity to learn not just about the precision of our sport but also about processing the emotions of frustration and disappointment. TREX qualified a few more swimmers to the Alberta Summer Festival in June and won a lot of fun prizes at the prize table.  Everyone walked away with a model dinosaur and memories that will carry them forward in their swimming.  

Thanks to all of the officials and parent volunteers for running an efficient meet, and for your patience with the swimmers as they learn all of the aspects and protocols of competition. GO DINOS!
