JP Fiset - Meet Write Up

October 26, 2023

Edmonton was cold but inside the Kinsmen Sports Center the action was hot. The meet kicked off with a 4x200 Free relay where the 13-14 girls team of Milena and Maria Cosic, Sienna Rodgers and Amy Peng set a club record. Followed by the 800 and the 1500 Free. The Thursday night of racing was a great opening session for what would be a great weekend of racing. A wide range of Dinos were represented at the meet from 12's swimmers on up to National athletes. As it was the final short course opportunity there were many athetes looking to leave their mark. Christine Zhou threw down some incredible back stroke races starting with the 100 back where she got under 1:10 for the first time. Demetri Mylonas was almost unstopable all weekend as he started to fill out a nice group of Western cuts. Sienna Rodgers is a fierce racer and lived up to that this weekend. She set two individual records in the 50 and 100 Back as well as swimming Fly the 4x50 medley relay for another club record. That team was Maria Cosic, Jordan Lloyd, Sienna Rodgers and Milena Cosic. There was huge races all the way around and it was great to put that exclamation point and a very good fall season for the Dinos.
