MJB Ice Law Classic 2025

The MJB Law Classic was filled with team spirit and holiday cheer throughout the competition. As coaches, we challenged the athletes throughout the weekend to continuously stand behind one another, so we all felt like the team was behind us. This was really crucial for the success that we had, considering this was the first opportunity for many of the swimmers to fly for a competition! This was a real learning opportunity as we discovered truly how much getting behind one another helps under the most stressful of situations.

We had fantastic results and many finalists throughout the weekend - including two silver medals for our own Mark Babak! However, the best part of the weekend was hearing how many of the athletes, and we as coaches, spent debriefing about how the athletes were keeping to the skills that they have been working on during practices. To have athletes dialed into their details during the peak meet before Christmas was truly an honour to be a part of. If this month of swimming is any indication for the remainder of the season, I cannot wait to see what the athletes have in store for us.
