Swim AB Summer Festivals 2024
The Development and TREX groups had SUCH a great time at the Festival meet in Lethbridge June 15 & 16th with 74 Dinos in attendance, our biggest team ever. The swimmers headed into the meet after a week of fun dryland activities outdoors, as pools were/are closed due to the water restrictions. Wow, did it ever feel good to jump into the water at the Max Bell Aquatic Centre! UCSC had loads of best times and too many great races to count. One highlight of the meet was watching Connor in his first swim-off: a 50 back race for 8th place where he stepped up for the Dinos and swam a huge best time when the pressure was really ON. Dinos dominated several finals heats in both free on Saturday and backstroke on Sunday. With big smiles, proud feelings and so many signatures on our BEST TIMES poster, the swimmers realized what fun it is to take advantage of opportunities to race and to feel what they are capable of when they dig deep with effort. We are so proud of all of our Dino swimmers, and grateful to the grown ups who feed them, drive them, arrange travel and support! Go Dino Go!!!
