Hello University of Calgary swim club!
I am Tate from Tri It Multisport in Calgary, Alberta! Our store and event company rnr premier events is putting on the Sylvan Lake Open Water Swim. The Sylvan Lake Open Water Swim is a 2km or 4km swim on Saturday July 22rd right in the town of Sylvan Lake.
I am reaching out to you to invite the U of C swimmers to "SLOWS" (Sylvan Lake Open Water Swim). Sylvan Lake is the ideal place for an open water swim event and a weekend away in a beach destination town with plenty for family and friends to do as well.
We would like to offer the swim at 15% off $75 (until June 30th). We invite everyone to come out and participate!
We are passionate about getting kids active in the water and exposing swim club kids to the sport of open water swimming - which is a wonderful activity to help extend the swim season!
Due to the lake water being so warm in July (around 18.5 degrees Celsius), wetsuits are NOT mandatory. This makes the barrier for participating far less for many swimmers, and more welcoming for those who do not like to be restricted by wetsuits.
What participants get:
· a plush "SLOWS" swim towel
· a "SLOWS" silicone swim cap
· a ''SLOWS" finisher's medal
· a safe and accurate swim course
· post-race drinks and snacks
· awards for each top male and female athlete in each age group
· 15% off for all swim club members (Until June 30th)
