TREX at Timmermans

A small but mighty group of TREX swimmers attended the Timmerman's meet Feb 9-11 and had some GREAT swims and experiences.  A first prelim/final meet for almost all of the Dinos competing, some swimmers got the experience of a second swim, and some had the jitters of being an alternate. ALL of the Dinos at the meet came out of the experience with a greater appreciation for the focus and hard work that goes into a best time, as well as the standard of the Festival qualifying times, whether they had attained one yet or not.  

What a grand thing it is to set your sights on something and work to achieve it!  And how awesome to ride the waves of experience: disappointments and successes, that shape us into resilient people. 

TREX sends gratitude to the host team NCSA, and to all of the officials who ran a great and efficient meet. Thanks to parents for all of the driving, feeding, and early waking of your young swimmers. Congratulations to the swimmers for your brave swims, your strength and grit, and patient, persistent quest for your goals.
