April Sunday Clinic: Starts and Turns

Date: Sunday, April 5– Session 1 – 12:30pm, Session 2 – 1:30pm 

This clinic will focus on starts and turns for all strokes. For the turns, the main focus will be on what happens on the wall and how to make it faster, followed by a strong push-off, with an appropriate gliding phase, dolphin kicking, and breakout or breaststroke underwater pull out. The start exercises will emphasize a strong push-off, followed by a smooth entry (eliminate splashing) and the transition to swimming.  A great way to improve start and turns skills before the upcoming meets. 

Pool: University Pool

Date: Sunday, April 5

o  Session 1 -   12:30 – 1:30pm – Development squads – CH2, Ch3, SD 2. SD3, Trex C, 

o  Session 2 -   1:30pm – 2:30pm– T-Rex A/B, 12 stream, Provincial and Provincial Light and older

Cost per clinic - $90

Number of swimmers – maximum 18/session
