Sunday Clinic – Starts and Turns
Location: University of Calgary Pool
February 19: 10:30am – 1:30pm
The next clinic will solely focus on the starts and turns of all strokes. For the turns, the main focus will be on what happens on the wall and how to make it faster, followed by a strong push-off, with an appropriate gliding phase, dolphin kicking, and breakout or breaststroke underwater pull-out. The start exercises will emphasize a strong push-off followed by smooth entry (eliminate splashing) and the transition to swimming.
o 1030am – Churchill and Trex B and C swimmers
o 1130am– Trex A and 12 Stream swimmers
o 1230pm– 12 A/B, Regional and Provincial
· Cost per clinic - $90
· Number of swimmers – maximum 12/session
