Sunday Swim Series - February

Sunday Clinic: Butterfly
Location: University Pool

Sunday, February 15 – Session 1 – 8:30am, Session 2  – 9:30am

Sign up is done through the job sign up - it will open Wednesday, Feb 4 at 9am

The main focus of the session will be on the butterfly technique. The focus for younger swimmers will be on body undulation, an essential butterfly skill, arm recovery, and breathing. The focus for the more advanced swimmers will be similar, adding a few guidelines about how to swim “effortless” fly, and the importance of stroke rate in swimming fly. A portion of the session will be spent on turns, including underwater dolphin kick and well as breakouts.

o  Session 1 -   8:30am - 9:30am – Development squads – SD2, CH3, SD3, Trex C

o  Session 2 -   9:30am – 10:30am– T-Rex A/B, 12 stream, Provincial and Provincial Light and above

·      Cost per clinic - $90

·      Number of swimmers – maximum 16/session
