Sunday Swim Series - January

Sunday Clinic – Starts and Turns
Location: University Pool

January 28: 8:30am – 10:30am  

The next clinic will solely focus on the starts and turns of all strokes. For the turns, the main focus will be on what happens on the wall, specific to each stroke, and how to make it faster, followed by a strong push-off with an appropriate gliding phase, dolphin kicking, and breakout or breaststroke underwater pull-out. The start exercises will emphasize a strong push-off followed by a smooth entry (eliminate splashing) and the transition to swimming.  

·      January 28,  8:30am - 10:30am

o   830am – Development squads – CH2, Ch3, SD2, SD3, Trex C

o   930am– T-Rex A/B, 12 stream, Provincial and Provincial Light and above

·      Cost per clinic - $90

·      Number of swimmers – maximum 18/session

·      Coaches (4- 5 coaches):  Jan Bidrman, Dan Gerlach and TBD
