Sunday Clinic: Start and Turns

Date: June 21 – Session 1 – 10:30am, Session 2 – 11:30am

The last clinic of the season will focus on starts and turns with an emphasis on underwater kicking.  For the turns, the focus will be on establishing firm body position and gliding after a strong push off.  The start exercises will emphasize a strong push-off the blocks, followed by a smooth entry (eliminate splashing) and the transition to swimming.  A great way to improve start and turns skills and establish habits that will carry through the summer and into next season.

o  Session 1 -   10:30 am – 11:30 am: Development squads – CH2/3, SD 2/3, TREX C

o  Session 2 -   11:30 am – 12:30 pm– TREX A/B, 12 stream, 13+ Groups

·      Cost per clinic - $90

·      Number of swimmers – maximum 18/session

·      Coaches:  Amy Bidrman, Michelle Downey, and TBD
