Provincial Coach
Taylor Wright
Taylor Wright is UCSC’s Provincial Head Coach.
Coaching since 2012, Taylor has worked with athletes across all levels, leading both swim and strength & conditioning training. Drawing on her background in competitive swimming, CrossFit, and powerlifting, she brings unique insight into technique, power, and performance.
Taylor is a Registered Massage Therapist with training from Mount Royal University and the Alberta College of Massage Therapy, and is NCCP Level 2 trained. With a strong understanding of biomechanics, injury prevention, and healthy athletic development, she integrates technique, functional movement, and recovery principles into her coaching to support long-term performance and resilience.
She values mutual respect between coaches, athletes, and parents, fostering a team culture built on consistency, effort, and support. Taylor is dedicated to helping swimmers pursue their goals while building confidence, discipline, and a genuine love for the sport.
Outside of coaching, you can find Taylor lifting, at the pool with her daughter — a true water bug — or on an outdoor adventure with her husband and their dog, Apollo.
